What is the chemical peeling procedure ?

The chemical peeling procedure is more or less same but it depends on the doctor you choose. For few cases, the patient may be advised to cleanse the face with an antiseptic cleanser prior to peeling day.

If the patient is suitable for superficial chemical peels, no special arrangements are required. The area of the skin in thoroughly cleansed to remove surface oils and eyes and hair are protected. Based on your skin type suitable peeling agent (ex: glycolic acid) is applied on the area for several minutes. It is monitored for few minutes. How much time required keeping the peel on the area depends on concentration of acid, your skin type and many factors. After that peel on the area is neutralized and cleansed thoroughly. The patient may feel burning sensation during the course of peeling.
