Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, the Difference

It is commonly misunderstood that cosmetic and plastic are two names of one thing. The confusion is not unnatural since in both of the cases, the body parts are addressed and that improves one’s look or appearance.  However, plastic surgery addresses the issue from an angle different from the cosmetic surgery.  Plastic surgery is usually done to regain or improve function of a body part, while cosmetic surgery is done to change shape of a body part to improve the appearance.

Facelift:  This procedure is done to give the face a fresh and flawless look by removing wrinkles, loose or sagging skin, or to correct skin folds, etc.

Hair Restoration:  This procedure helps people get hair grow naturally on the hairless parts.  Hair from one part of the body is transplanted to the hairless part of the head.
